Building conception

The house has been enlarged for one floor during the complete large-scale reconstruction. The intention of the renovation was to preserve the historical image of the house in combination with modern interior.

This effort can be seen especially from the outside- the house facade returns the house back to its original look from the 1930s (preservation of segmentation and nature of windows). Travertine lining was restored in the corridors of the house, original stone stairs were totally reconstructed and brass shop windows were returned their original appearance. The apartment floors have been reconstructed completely (ceiling, distribution systems..) that we can talk about new apartment units.

2nd place in the competition

Residence Květinářská has won 2nd place in the competition “Stavba Jihomoravského kraje pro rok 2009” (South-Moravia Construction of the Year 2009) – in the category “Reconstruction of Buildings and Objects”. According to the jury verdict it “with dignity represents an outstanding quality of the building industry in the South-Moravia region”.
